Q01 – Can I use a VPN with Sky Go?
 

Sky do not support VPNs, it is against the T&Cs to circumvent security measures to gain access to services in other countries other that those allowed in the T&Cs



Q02 – Why can I not use Sky Go on my Games Console?
 

For use on a Games Console you will require "Multiscreen", "Whole Home" or "Sky Go Extra" on your account, this requirement is not needed for use on mobile devices such as Phones, Tablets etc…



Q03 – Why are Sky Q recordings not showing on Sky Go?
 

You require "Multiscreen" on your account



Q04 – Why is there no casting button on the app?
 

Sky does not allow casting to a TV from a mobile device



Q05 – How do I fully uninstall from Windows?
 

• Uninstall the Sky Go app
• Make sure hidden files/folders are visible
• Delete the following folders:

C:\Users\(your username)\AppData\Roaming\Sky
C:\Users\(your username)\AppData\Roaming\Sky Go

• If they exist delete the following folders:

C:\users\(your username)\AppData\LocalLow\Cisco
C:\users\(your username)\AppData\LocalLow\Synamedia

• Empty your recycle bin



Q06 – How do I fully uninstall from Mac OS?
 

• On your desktop, click Go and click Applications.
• Remove the Sky Go app.
• Go back to your desktop, then click Go and click Go to Folder.
• Type “~/library” and click Go.
• Go to Cisco, then remove the VideoGuardPlayer folder.



Q07 – Can I watch content outside of the UK?
 

Since 01/01/2021 UK customers can no longer watch streams outside the UK.

You can watch anything you have downloaded to a device before you leave the country.



Q08 – Can I download content to my device?
 

You can download content as long as you have "Sky Go Extra" on your account.



Q09 – How do I remove devices that access Sky Go?
 

To remove an unwanted device:
• Go to Manage your Sky TV Devices ( you may need to be logged in to sky.com for the link to work ).
• Click Manage device in the Sky Go Devices section
• Click Remove Device.

If you also want to stop someone accessing your Sky Go then you also need to change your Sky account password ( if you have sub accounts then their passwords may also need changing [you may need to be logged in to sky.com for the link to work] ).



Q10 – How do you fix: "Due to a technical issue you can’t watch this channel."?
 

Try signing out if the app, reboot your device, then signing back in to the app.



Q11 – I cannot login, what can I try?
 

Try linking your Sky ID to your account: Link account help ( you may need to be logged in to sky.com for the link to work ).



Q12 – How do I give access to someone else in my household?
 

You need to setup a new Sky ID for each person ( Help creating a Sky ID [you may need to be logged in to sky.com for the link to work] ) they can then use this Sky ID to log in to the Sky Go app.

Note: Don't give anyone else your main Sky ID as this will give them full access to your Sky account.



Q13 – How do I set up or edit a PIN?
 

Go to Manage your Sky Go Device Settings: Sky Device PIN ( you may need to be logged in to sky.com for the link to work ).
